Big Boy Bed!

About 2 months ago, we started putting Zane in a queen size bed! Hoping to get out of the crib a couple months before the new baby arrives! And it worked until we had to move him out of it when company came. Then he decided that he no longer wanted to have anything to do with the "big boy bed." So with the time running out to get him out of the crib. I decided that he needed a toddler bed of his own that he doesnt get moved out of when company comes!  I searched on craigslist for a cheap and not themed toddler bed! Did I mention I hate Character themed stuff! Pooh is the worst! Didn't exist in our area!
I then remembered that I married an extremely talented man who builds stuff for a living. I asked him to build one for him, since we had all the wood and tools lying around it only cost us the stain! So it is perfect and it is a better build bed than anything that we could of bought! To my surprise within a few hours he had the whole thing built! I must say I married a very good man!

It was a slow start because my ADD husband kept getting side track watching a Clint Eastwood movie! But Zane was determined to "fix it"!

Back to the character thing! I wanted bedding that he would be excited about for his new bed! So we went to several stores and found very few toddler size bedding sets! I then decided since I recently got this amazing sewing machine that I would just make a bedding set! We then took Zane to the fabric store and showed him tons of boyish fabrics about 3 at a time and he picked "Thomas the Train" every time! "Choo, Choo" so i put aside my hatred for Characters since technically he just thinks it is a train not a obsession of a character! I am in the process of making the bedding will up date post when it is finished!

The Ladybug Cake!

My fist adventure of trying to make a custom birthday cake! One of my good friends called me a week before her daughters 3rd birthday party desperate for someone to make her a cake since all the bakers in town were booked or outrageously priced! I agreed to make the cake thinking it would be fun! And I am always looking for new challenges! I Loved it! Think I will start doing it for my friends kids! So I decided on a chocolate sour cream cake (AMAZING) with butter cream frosting! Here is how it went... Oreo spots and twizzler antennas! The first cake I cooked in a stainless steel bowl... it feel through! So the second time I used 2 10' round cakes!

New Years in New Mexico!

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family! My Aunt and Uncle were nice enough to let us go to their family cabin in New Mexico! So my Inlaws and ourselfs loaded up in their car and went on a long road trip to the mountains! But it was worth every minute!

Snowboarding on spring break growing up was one of my favorite childhood memoeries! Although, I was not as good as I use to be because of my c-section! No abs makes it hard to get up on the board! The first day I went by myself and got bored. So the second day I convinced my hesitant husband to try it out! And he feel in love! We hope to get boards for Zac and I so when our kids get old enough to take on the mountain we dont have to rent ours too!
We were even with the clouds on an icy road!
Zac loves his deer!

The Bunny Slopes!

First Time to Leave my Sweet Boy!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy holidays! Ours was very eventful! We started of our Christmas season and the inlaws in Fort Worth! We took some amazing family pictures! Ate alot of food! And had alot of fun with everyone coming together! It was so nice! The Inlaws got Zane a bike trailer for mom's bike! I keep waking up and ready for spring so I can start taking bike rides! So ready for spring!

On December 19 we watched one of my childhood friends got married! From the wedding I decided to send Zane home with my parents for the week! Zac went to the deer lease! I came home to College Station! It has been awesome and tough at the same time! I have only left Zane one time other than this week for 1 night! This time I send my parents for 6 days with out me! I tought I would use that time efficently... WRONG! I was so lazy! Stayed in my pjs all day! By the 4th day I was ready to have my family back!

I don't no if they missed me! Zane had a blast going from party to party in Nocona! He evenmanaged to pull a fast one on my dad!  My parents had a box of fruit in the pantry! Zane found it and decided to take taste it! He picked up an apple and becaues it was difficult to eat because of the peel he figured he would pickup another and try it out! And another, and another, and another! I am sure you see where this was going! He eventually gave up and took one to day saying "ummmmm... ummmm..ummm..!" So Dad got cut it up for him and discovered the other apples all with one bite each! A few days later he found the pears!

I SURE LOVE MY BOYS!

Stuck in a Rut!

Soooooo it's been awhile! I have no real excuses! I have just kinda been in a personal rut... Don't know what my deal was or is! My house is DIRRRTY and I can't get ahead with the cleaning! And between Christmas, New Mexico, Zane's Birthday, and starting a my Mary Kay Business I have alot to catch you up on one of my good friends has moved away!

Although, I have other friends that i see weekly, it just not the same! I am not sure what about her makes her special and dear to my heart! Maybe it is because she was there and going through one of the most important times of my life! There is something very special about sharing the experience of a growing belly, the hormones, fear, excitement, reality, grossness, and love of what our future holds! There were a lot of emotions that I have shared with her in the short time we have been friends! But I love her! Always will! Although that I don't talk to her as often I think of her daily!

I think I have been trying to feel the void of not having her around.  I had two people in the same day tell me they were pregnant and one other the next week! I am sooooo jealous and now thats all i can think about is having a baby to share the experience with these girls! I want that special bond again. Now while this isnt the only reason it does play a role in it.  I also want Zane to have a sibling that is close to the same age and grow up with kids the same age since it seems like we are going to be here for awhile! But anways, I just need to get that off my chest and maybe it will help get me out of my rut!

Thanks for Listening!

Salmon En Croute

Over Thanksgiving I made this for my In Laws!
I am not a huge salmon fan, but I tried it! Mainly for my sister-in-law who doesn't eat beef! But next time I will make the beef wellington! It was delisious crust and spinach mix!

I rubbed the salmon with dijon mustard and salt & pepper!

They were enormous!
